Attention Neighbors!
The Fontana City Council and the Redevelopment Agency are taking steps to update the Redevelopment Plan for the Southwest Industrial Park (SWIP) Project Area in order to add territory and to provide enhanced services and facilities into the existing SWIP Project Area.
The proposed added area is located south of the I-10 freeway and north of Jurupa Avenue. It is bound on the east by Sierra and Juniper Avenues and on the west by Beech, Popular and Catawba Avenues.
In order to get input from the community, the City Council invited residents, business owners, and community organizations in the proposed added area to serve on a Project Area Committee (PAC). The PAC is an advisory body that will review the proposed added area’s redevelopment plan prior to adoption and provide recommendations to the City Council and Redevelopment Agency.
PAC Formation & Redevelopment Plan
A meeting was held on Thursday, August 13, 2009, at the Hilton Garden Inn in Fontana to present information on the redevelopment plan update process and formation of the PAC. The following documents were provided at that meeting:
The PAC election was held on Thursday, September 3, 2009, at the Hilton Garden Inn in Fontana. The Fontana City Council confirmed the elected PAC members at a regular meeting on September 23, 2009.

Public Meetings
- February 2, 2010 – Fontana Planning Commission Hearing at 7:00 p.m. at the City of Fontana City Hall Council Chambers located at 8353 Sierra Avenue, Fontana CA 92335
- February 4, 2010 – A public meeting has been scheduled at 7:00 p.m. to discuss, answer questions, and receive public comments on the Draft EIR. The meeting will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn, located at 10543 Sierra Avenue, Fontana, CA 92337
PAC Public Meetings
The PAC will hold a series of public meetings over the next several months. These meetings are scheduled to take place:

- Thursday, December 10, 2009
- Thursday, January 14, 2010
- Thursday, February 11, 2010
- Thursday, March 4, 2010 (Special meeting time: 6:00 p.m.)
All meetings will take place at 7:00 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn in Fontana.
